“Juried
Art Exhibit”
The Annual
Juried Art Exhibition, now celebrating its 33rd season will
expand this year to feature artists from New Jersey, Pennsylvania
and Delaware. It will include watercolors, oils, acrylics,
drawings, mixed media and sculpture.

Spirits
and Spirits
Sip wine
and learn about the other spirits that may inhabit the Historic
Smithville Mansion during this year’s “Spirits
and Spirits” wine tasting event set for Saturday, Nov.
7 from 6 to 10 p.m.
Hosted
by The Friends of the Mansion at Smithville, the annual fundraiser
will take place inside the 1840 Greek revival building that
was once the home of Hezekiah B. Smith, an inventor, entrepreneur
and politician who founded the thriving company town of Smithville.
During the event, guests age 21 an up will be gather inside
the mansion’s billiard room to sample a variety of domestic
wines. In addition, members of The South Jersey Ghost Research
organization’s paranormal research team will offer tours
of the building that may lead to some ghostly encounters.
The organization, which has conducted multiple investigations
of the mansion, will also share audio recordings and photographs
of its research. The Annual Juried Art Exhibit will also be
on display.
The cost is $25 per person, or $20 for members of the Friends
of the Mansion. Visa, MasterCard, and debit card accepted.
The Smithville Mansion is located at Historic Smithville Park
, 803 Smithville Road in Eastampton, three-quarters of a mile
off Route 38.

Celebrating
the Teddy Bear
In keeping
with the theme of this year's Smithville Mansion Holiday Tours,
the Annex Gallery will be featuring Teddy Bears, both old
and new and of all shapes and sizes. Courtesy of specialty
bear shop, Teddies
of Mount Holly, in Mill
Race Village in Mount Holly and private
collectors, a selection of bears will represent both the history
of the Teddy Bear as well as where the art of Teddy Bear making
is today.
The exhibit will be open Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and
Saturdays from 11am - 3pm and with Smithville Mansion Holiday
Tours. The Annex Gallery is closed on legal holidays.
